The cat yurt is a way to share two things I really love: my culture and my cats!

Just like a real yurt, our mini yurts are sturdy, cozy, and stylish places to relax. Cats love curling up and napping in the soft felt interior.

Q1: What is the cat yurt made of?

A1: Our cat yurt is made from an eco-friendly craft felt with some hidden foam padding to provide extra structure. Sturdy and soft!

Q2: What sizes are available?

A2: The yurt is available in one standard size designed to comfortably fit most cats. The dimensions are 15 inches in diameter, 13 inches in height from top cone to the base of the yurt, while the door is 7 inches tall and 7 inches wide.

Q3: Is the yurt easy to assemble? 

A3: The yurt comes 100% stitched and ready to go! All stitching is carefully inspected prior to shipment as well. The yurt will be delivered folded inwards, all you'll need to do is pull it back outwards and plump it up.

Q4: What if my yurt was creased from shipping and handling? 

A4: We've tried to reduce the cost of shipping for customers by folding the yurt inwards on itself. The creasing is usually fairly minor, as the yurt isn't bending in the wrong structural places. It folds inwards like the back of a hat. Any creasing or dents along the fold line can be removed by ironing/steaming the yurts on a low heat setting. 

The fold line will also gradually fade over time.

Q5: What if my cat doesn't use it?

A5: We all know how finicky cats can be. We have a 30 day guarantee because we don't want you stuck with a yurt that your cat doesn't use. 

Q6: They're still not using it. Any tips?

A6: I recommend placing the yurt in different locations and alternating until your cat inexplicably finds it to their favor. My cats especially like when the yurt is not on the floor, but elevated a bit on a table or ledge. 

Q7: Can the yurt be used outdoors?

A7: Not really. The yurt is intended for indoor use. I think it could be useful for leash training as it provides cats with an easy sense of home, a familiar place to retreat whenever the adventure gets a bit too much. But as for your favorite outdoor kitties, or indoor/outdoor kitties, I think there would be more suitable weatherproof options.
