Hi traveler! Nomadic Cat makes yurts inspired by Central Asian culture  and design.

The cat yurt is a way to combine two things I love -- my culture and my kitties!

I am Kazakh but came to the USA in 2023 with my American spouse and our four cats after a long and lengthy visa process.

Change is scary for people but it's nothing like how scary it is for a cat!

Our cats did not enjoy this trip around the world while it was happening.

Well we couldn't leave them of course! So they just had to trust us!

All four were found on the streets as kittens in Shanghai. By the time we moved here to the US our fur babies were already 7 years old! So it was a tough transition for them, but the little nomads made it with us to their new home. 

We're all very happy to be in the Philadelphia, USA now! 

What about the yurts?

Well one day, being Kazakh and observing how much cats like to feel safe and snug, I thought it might be cool to share more about my culture and Central Asia through the design of yurts for cats.

After making some different yurts with simple felt and stitch I was happy to see my cats truly love and use them. Of course cats would like yurts, they're just like burrows after all! And so now my brave Kitty Khans spend most afternoons yurt napping -- and coming across your cat day sleeping in a mini-yurt it is exactly the cozy warm vibes I imagined it to be.

I hope you and your cat will enjoy a Nomadic Cat Yurt too.
